doesnt anybody play TCP games here? PBEM for me takes far too long to complete games.

I do, and so do my fellows. If you can, come to IRCnet channel #spwaw I'll often be there talking about spwaw and setting up games online.

An ideal online game for me is fast, less than three hours of playing time. PBEM suits the big battles much better.
If you are a windows user, you can get an IRC client program at www.mirc.com
The #spwaw channel is basically Finnish, but we all can speak English as well. So everyone is welcome. :)

We usually play with 1000 to 3000 points per side and five to ten minutes for each player to complete his turn.

what server do i connect to (there are lots)
and what time do you normally log on at?

The server depends on where you live. I use irc.cc.jyu.fi because I live in Jyväskylä but I'd say that in general the server should be located as near you as possible. It doesn't matter where it is if it's an ircnet server.

Some of us is in irc 24h a day, but usually we are logged in from midday to late night.
