Coalitions and Diplomacy

Commander – Napoleon at War is the second in a series of high level turn based strategy games. It spans the Napoleonic Wars from 1805 to 1815, allowing players to control France or the Coalitions against it through the entire period or in shorter scenarios. Easy to learn, with fun and addictive gameplay, this is a Napoleonic wargame in the style of the old "Panzer General".

Coalitions and Diplomacy

How are these modelled and does the game cater for the making and breaking of alliances?

Semi-scripted. You can declare war on a nation and nations will join the coalition on their own terms and schedule. Nations can also be conquered, temporarily become vassals, then revolt and rejoin the coalition, etc.

Thanks Erik. Some form of "diplomacy" had to be in a game of this subject.
