Mod Swap wont install anything -- error message

So I've loaded the map packs, unzipped (also it wouldn't unzip direct to the plugins folder), transfered the .cc3 file, and tried to use the mod swap

And every time, for GD2 and Allied summer, get an instantanious error mesaage, couldn't install operation aborted.

Any ideas? This really hurts the replability of the game?

1. The maps unzip to the \maps folder , not plugins folder.

What OS are you using?

Yeah, unzipped the maps to the maps folder, just can't seem to get the modswap to install anything.

It is all part of Vista'a security

you need to run CoI in win98 compatibility mode.

  Navigate to C:\Program file\Close Combat\Close Combat III

  Right click on CC3.exe and choose compatibility mode  

Select win98 compatibility or XP


  Also select administrator

  This should allow you to install mods that swap the cc3.exe
