Airborne Mining
Airborne Mining, one issue I always had with it was the complete lack of feed back, not showing minefield on map, size info, or number of mines. I would like to get the same info for Airborne mining we get on ship/sub mining!
So, has Airborne mining changed/improved in any way in AE?

Even now the minefield shows once you've driven into it - so once a Japanese TF drives into an arial laid minefield - it will show up.
Also right now (stock) no enemy minefields, or friendly minefields in non-friendly base hexes, show mine counts.
AFAIK none of this changes in AE.

How is the player supposed to keep track of all of their mine fields, is AE going to include a map and crayons?[;)]

It seems a more important issue on Aerial mining is that it is impossible to intercept this mission, unlike other forms of City Attack. Still the case in AE?

I suggest rereading the question. You answered a question he didn't ask. He didn't want to know about enemy minefields, he wanted to know about friendly ones. Currently, in the base interface there is a listing of how many friendly mines are in the hex. This only appears in a base hex. Any onther hex you deploy mines into you end up having no idea how many mines you have sown in that hex. What he was asking was if AE will report friendly mine counts in non-base hexes.

How would you know the number of mines? You can only access this info if you control the base, and you cant fly a city attack mission on your own cities.
There should be a mine symbol on the map though. Frankly, Ive never laid a minefield by air in WitP, so I had no idea they didnt display a mine icon at the base.

What is hard to stop are the Stealth patrol planes like the Coronado with 10x500LB bombs .. they can put 30-40 damage points on a BB when in patrol mode - that they could never touch in bombing mode.

If planes on patrol like a Coronado can attack and do damage they couldn't due in a bomb run isn't broken, then what is? [8|] Sounds more like working as usual!

If true, then even if the game is correct now ('almost never' in the code might mean that you never actually see an interception when one scrolls by - you being a mere mortal!), then the real problem has been the availability of mines. That issue they say they've addressed big time in AE.
Not trying to really deflect your question, just point out that they might have fixed what you encounter even if the specific answer to your question is 'SAIEW'.

I have no problem with that, if it is the answer. The concern I have is that it can be exploited massively in the game as it currently is.

That will resolve this issue, bit hard to exploit when running out of mines...
