First Impressions

Commander – Napoleon at War is the second in a series of high level turn based strategy games. It spans the Napoleonic Wars from 1805 to 1815, allowing players to control France or the Coalitions against it through the entire period or in shorter scenarios. Easy to learn, with fun and addictive gameplay, this is a Napoleonic wargame in the style of the old "Panzer General".

Tried the 1812 scenario. Only the revelant theatre is available in Russia for this one the rest is blacked out, which is sensible. The game has a couple of more problems apart from the lethargic AI, weather seems to have an effect on movement but certain terrain does not! Infantry and Cavalry can skip through forests and bounce rivers exploiting far and wide so that terrain becomes meaningless except the Pripet marshes which does seem to impede movement.

I do like the combat, map, ease of use but this defo needs a bit more work.

Nope I dont have an axe to grind this is just the state of the game presently which hopefully will improve with patches
