Mega campaigns are hard coded campaigns that come with more eye candy than you could imagine, dealing with different theaters of war. One for North Africa , Desert Fox, one for southern Russia, Lost Victories, and one for Guadalcanal, Watch Tower. North Africa is very difficult to find now but the others are still available directly from Matrix or from some of their suppliers. (Check headings at the top of the forums for links to these).

These are essentially role playing campaigns complete with maps, pictures, radio transmissions and a lot of other stuff. Well worth the 24.99 it will set you back. But they are not available for download. There has been a lot of talk in forums about this subject, but so far you have to buy them to get'em. They also come with a complete version of SPWaW, but you still need to patch these to make them current to 7.1.

Hope this helps.

Click on one of my banners for more info on each MegaCampaign, and welcome aboard. They are for the hard core SP enthusiast, each comes with the full installation of SPWAW included on the CD which is an added bonus.

I spent an interesting evening last night removing 7.1 and LV and installing MCNA, MCLV, 7.1 ,7.11 and all the mega patches. Works great. My next question is do I have to do it all over again when I get MCWT? ,or does that one install at 7.1. All I could tell from your banner was for 5.0+.

Ah Jim if it wasn't for you lately I'd be out of a job. No you don't, the WT CD gives you the option to install just the Watchtower MegaCampaign without having to reinstall SPWAW (2nd option). But after installing it I would reinstall the 7.1 patch and any addtional OOB updates you've installed. The WT Mega should only import itself into your current version of SPWAW but I think it changes some OOB which is why I suggest the 7.1 patch followed by any other OOB changes you've made. The reason the Mega's say ver 5.x iin the banner is because SPWAW version 5.X was the first version that included the MegaCampaign code. So in actuality you could play any Mega using SPWAW version 5.x if you wanted too. I hope this answers your question

Hey, not to worry. I'm on vacation next week and the wife wouldn't take it too well if I was sitting in that beach lounger with a laptop. I'll have to go cold turkey.
