leader´s command ranges

Post by countblue »

I have compiled this table of command ranges for myself.
Can anybody comment on this? (correct/incorrect etc)

Company 4 hex,
Battailion 12 hex,
Regiment 20 hex,
Brigade (same as regiment)
Division 35 hex,
Corps 100 or more,
Army endless (all the map, any size)

thankfully

This is a great new manual. Compared to what came with the original this is close to perfect.
Thank you for pointing me to it.[;)]

And for the update itself I must say the same,
This game is now damn close to perfect.

Great R E S P E C T to all who made it possible !!
You have all done a hell of a job.

you mean HQ's resupply range
leaders only impart their command value on units of the same org within the hex
and the leaders expend action points to do so equal to the firing units AP fire cost
and the morale boost also too only extends itself to units within the leaders hex and of the same org.

FYI the "W" hotkey will highlight resupply ranges on the map

Correct,
I also noticed that the first platoon of any given company (aka the "leading unit" with the little radio symbol) will also show that range (if you press "w").
So I thought it also has a function similar to the HQ´s but rather in terms of command not in terms of resupply.

I also remember that a leader will not only increase moral if stacked with fighting units but also increase resupply range (by 50% if memory serves me right) if stacked with his HQ, I dont know if this is still correct with 1.04 applied?

the coy HQ will deliver a morale boost to it's units within the command range for attempts to undisrupt
or it might be that they prevent a minus one
either or it's best to keep a coy's units close together with the HQ unit (i.e. within range) if you're disrupted or expect to be disrupted

what are the new arty HQ rules?
arty uses the scenario supply figure and thus before there was no function for arty HQs
I always exited them off map pronto
I noticed we have arty leaders now and I suppose they function to help undisrupt their arty units like other leaders

As i recall leaders add their command rating to a subordinate HQ command range.
everyday congress meets we lose a little more of our liberty. and a republic is not the majority gets to bash the resistance. thank God for the electoral collage.
