Help to house rule

Post by hjaco »

Going back to active status once again with GOA and closing battle with Lascar.

In the future I have decided to play with a self imposed house rule requiring the presence of shipping in order to transfer resources or production at sea - most notably from America to UK.

Does anyone have an idea how much resources one naval squadron of transports should be able to transport? (i.e. how many metric tons is one unit of resources and what is the transport capacity of one transport?)

Trading would possibly involve more transport time than just sail to a certain location picking up a certain amount of goods sailing back to port of origin.

Ideas or inputs?

What are you trying to do?

A) add realism

or

B) handicap the TE

As things stand, I think the merchant fleet and the food/resources are too abstracted for the tonnage question to apply and that stockpiling huge amounts is far too easy.
