Old fan checking in...

Post by Kuokkanen »

It's been few years since I visited this forum last time. I wonder, does anybody here still remember me... Anyways, I'd like to know what's happening in here, and is Starshatter 6 under work.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

Salutations,

No word on a Starshatter 6. [:)]

A version 5.0.3 beta patch was recently released for members. It is apparenlty meant to address the games CTD problem encountered during the dynamic campaign and any TrackIR difficulties.

I remember you wdboyd! How is your Cartel mod today? Is it still available for Starshatter 4.5?

My The Cartel mod is alive and well on starshattermods.com .

http://www.starshattermods.com

I have a new, expansive and improved mod called SolCom that is also available for download.

Both of my mods should be runable under 4.5. The Cartel, definately.

There have been some stock ship changes in the new TGS version. That is the only area where mission difficulties are posible and might occur in the SolCom mod. Not in gameplay, but only in newer missions which use the updated ship(s).

The games 4.5 version would not reflect any such changes or updates that affect The Cartel mod.

Thanks for info! I seem to have Starshatter installed... but I'm afraid I have no flightstick in decent working condition, and my money is low after spending 50 € for Tactical Operations (yet ANOTHER BattleTech game manual). If I get to play any Starshatter in this year, I guess I'm flying starships only. And I so liked blasting off carrier's reactor with Thunderbolt [:(]

Starshatter: TGS supports mouse, keyboard, joystick, throttle, rudder, and gamepadflight controls simultaneously, so that you can find the control method that works best for you.  You can easily assign any joystick or gamepad axis to any function you wish, and each axis (including the mouseY-axis) can be inverted to suit your preferences.
