Okay, let's pick a nit

From the legendary team at 2 by 3 Games comes a new grand strategy masterpiece: Gary Grigsby’s War Between the States. Taking gamers back to the American Civil War, this innovative grand strategy game allows players to experience the trials and tribulations of the role of commander-in-chief for either side. Historically accurate, detailed and finely balanced for realistic gameplay, War Between the States is also easy to play and does not take months to finish.

Okay, let's pick a nit

I guess it is a sign of how good this game is that the most recent questions revolve around small matters. There do not appear to be any major game issues. Now, my nit. I like the way 1.03 has changed the opening of the game, particularly in Kentucky. Now, either side can respond to the other's invasion, and neither can swallow Kentucky in one turn. However, I would suggest that Bowling Green be divided into two areas, if possible. Now, the AI Union invasion does not conquer Bowling Green, allowing the South to take it. This, in turn. allows the South to move a heavy artillery in and interdict the Ohio River. They can even build a fort their on the turn they take it to make their heavy artillery even more formidible. While the South did occupy Bowling Green during the actual war, they were never able to interdict the Ohio River. Now, let's pick.

That's another interesting suggestion as we work out a similar one in private about the Arkansas river. There's plenty of such situations with respect to territorial abstraction as related to history. I am sure the team will consider that too.

Great suggestion from dakjck. Delaying Grant and company while you deal with fortress KY does get annoying.

So long as we're in nit picking mode. I'd like to add my own as well.

It seems that when all I want are some brigadiers to fill out a corps I end up getting 4 or 5 more corps commanders, and when I all I want is a corps commander I end up getting none.

I wish there was a tiered activation, where maybe after the CSCs come in during the first winter I get 1 corps selection/turn and the rest 1 stars or something like that.

Anyways, it's a great game and that's my small complaint.
