How to play another player?

Post by lagnaf »

My brother and I want to play each other. How do we do this? I thought we could play via e-mail, or online? Please advise.

When you first start the game, there is a big box labeled PBEM. Put a checkmark there. Go ahead and play your turn. When you end the movement and supply phases, the game will ask you to save your turn and a password. Name the turn, save it, then attach it to an email. You will find it in the Matrix Games/WBTS/dat/saved path on XP computers.

Can anyone clarify this?? I think that's how you do it.

OK, so what happens next? My opponent gets the e-mail opens it and makes his changes and "renames" it and sends it back to me?

I want to make sure I have it right....
1) is there an order that MUST be followed?.....i.e, I go first, then he goes, etc... He can't make "moves" "out of turn" and e-mail to me? right?

The turns always alternate. The CSA player starts by setting the agreed on settings (i.e. CSCs, command point recovery, etc.) then starts a new game (with PBEM checked), puts in his password and mails it off to the Union player.

The Union player then does his Turn 1 and at the end after he ends his turn (and the file is saved) mails it back to the CSA player and so it goes. You can name your save file whatever you want.

When you get a turn from your opponent, remember to watch the replay (using the button in the top menu) and to use the "E" key to bring up the previous turn's reports.

Regards,
