Siege Problem - Question????

The CSA is besieging a fort of mine on the Ohio River - however, I have divisions on provinces all around it.

Try as I might I can't seem to be allowed to attack the besieging unit? Maybe its me - how do I do so?

You should be able to attack them if you move your containers into the province that is under siege.

I have the enemy surrounded by units in the 4 provinces around them, but it wont let me attack.

Sometimes new players have trouble moving into river provinces -- are you sure you are sending forces into the same province as the fort, and not an adjacent one?

Also, could this be happening in winter, and winter movement rules are keeping your forces from advancing?

Your Divns might be failing to execute the given march orders due to bad command staff

I would like to second what Gil said, if it is a river province, make sure you actually move to that province. That is still something I occasionally do wrong [:@]
