FoF PBEM help needed

Post by gunny3013 »

I am beggining a PBEM FoF game and have encountered a few problems I'm hoping to get a little assistance with.

When I started this PBEM game no password was prompted and as a result we are playing without one.
[&:] How do I prompt a password once a PBEM game has begun?

It seems the "Instant" combat mode does not function during a PBEM game despite the choice of instant combat in the game setup.
[&:] How do I make the combat get resolved as Instant instead of quick?

Humbly,

I'm not certain I get your second question. Is it because you don't want to watch quick-combat resolve itself when watching the PBEM replay, but choosing instant-resolve doesn't get rid of them?
Michael Jordan plays ball. Charles Manson kills people. I torment eager potential customers by not sharing screenshots of "Brother Against Brother." Everyone has a talent.

I believe the 'p' key is used to set the password during play.

I'm not sure whether the always instant option works in PBEM games or not.  We could make it work this way in our upcoming patch if it does not.

Yes, I do not desire to see individual units on a chess board resolve itself during PBEM so I checked the "instant" combat resolution box only. Unfortunately, that seems to make no difference at all and I can't get instant combat resolution when playing PBEM.

Thank you, I will inform my PBEM partner and see what happens and report back. Thanks.
