This is a major coup in my book! I had a $25 coupon for Amazon.com. For $11.50 TOTAL, (including shipping etc.) [X(] I just received the Wargamer's Choice Strategy Six Pack.
The pack includes:

2. Cossacks (Back to War)
3. American Conquest:
4. Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord
5. Strategic Command: European Theater
6. No Man's Land: Fight for Your Rights
Wow! I am psyched! [8D]

I bought WitP on bargain sale TESCO for 6 Polish Gold Pieces - the box in pretty bad shape, but at least I have it. Now I have to learn it which feels like doing a third school.

Wow...can't really complain at that price! What is No Man's Land, by the way, I've never heard of that one? American Conquest isn't a bad game, the SC games are decent. I'm not a fan of the Sudden Strike games, but some people really like them, so you might come out on that side of the fence.

OK. No Man's Land is a real snooze fest. Sort of like Age of Empires meets colonial America. Basically you play either as Indians, Spanish or English. I'd never heard of it either until now. Not very original and not a lot of fun compared to Age of Empires.
Strategic Command is basically like Commander Europe at War except with the most horrible graphics I've seen since 486 days.
American Conquest isn't working for some reason. The computer simply goes black and nothing happens.
I have yet to try the other three games.
I guess I got what I paid for so far. [:D]

I got the Great Battles series Alexander, Caesar and Hannibal for $4.00 complete together off ebay. I got Avalon Hills Gettysburg, Napoleon, Alexander the Great and Battle of the Bulge all four board war games for $8.00 off ebay. I'm really disappointed that nothing new has caught my eye in awhile now. There's just too many repeats of older titles these days. Or that they come with SecuRom or Starforce on them.

Roberta Williams Anthology for 5 €uros. Bought it december of 2003. New & unopened!
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

Combat Mission 1 is great for nostalgia's sake, and was a good game when relased, but has been made pretty well obsolete by CM Barbarossa and CM Afrika Korps. Still a good game in it's own right though, though frustrating to go back to if you played the newer ones.
Strategic Command is actually really fun IMO, I've been playing with it since it came out. I played the demo for Commander: Europe at War and it seemed like almost a clone of SC to me with up to date graphics (it probably isn't, I don't know). SC is basically Panzer General on a grand scale with a really crappy research system, still pretty fun in a "beer and pretzels" sort of way.
I tried to play American Conquest, either the game runs WAY too fast on my PC (which isn't top of the line by any means), or you need to be on Meth/Cocaine/10+ chugged pots of Coffee to play it effectively.
No idea on the others, I've heard Cossacks was fun, not sure if it requires extreme stimulant use to play like American Conquest seems to.
For $11.50, you could probably get your money's worth out of Combat Mission 1, flaws be damned, and SC, although if you own Commander: Europe at War, SC probably won't be so great.

I remember getting the new, boxed, retail version of Reach for the Stars free due to a marketing foul-up by the retailer (I don't remember which one, but it wasn't Matrix).

American Conquest has major, major problems with newer NVidia cards, so that might be the issue with it.

Does having a friend work for a game company and getting all their games free count? [:'(] Cause that's a good deal [;)].
Probably the most awesome deal I got on a computer game was not too long ago when I bought that Barbie Diary game. I was getting it as a present, not for myself(honest, I swear). Paid like $2.00 for it.

I bought my copy of BTR by Talon Soft for 5 bucks. I got it in a small game shop that sold used (and new) games about 6 six years ago. It was the box version, and it was like new.
I had never gone back to that little store-I had forgotten about it. I hope they are still in business.

TalonSoft's Nappy in Russia, autographed by the dev team. Won it free after a ladder competition, I think at the old LeadEaters site. Sadly, my wargaming skills don't translate as well to WiTP...

Not a computer game super deal but even better.... My wife dragged me to a older mall . I really hated that place with a passion because all the cool stores left over the years and only old fogey clothes stores were left....Well anyways, the mall is way improved and one store in particular caught my eye... Last time I was in there was about 25 years earlier in a different location a long way away from its current location.Same layout. I bought some old postcards that were in the same box as 25 years previous..lol.. On the way out my wife said"hey, hon.. Arent those the games you love?".. Wouldnt you know it? A few old Avalon Hill boardgames from the early 80's. Right there with the original price tags.....Was told by the helpful lady that i'd get a discount if I bought a few... Needless to say I overexerted my stitches carrying my new purchases to the car. Statis Pro Football,Pattons Best,France '40, Samurai, Anzio and Guns of August.....all at 30% off original 80's prices....and a newer AH title.Attack Sub... Cleaned that place out...

France '40... Man, that brings back some late night memories.

RE: What is your most awesome deal on computer games?
France '40 was my 1st boxed wargame. Got it from my old history teacher, a crusty Croatian who fought the Red hordes in WW2. Man, he had stories!
There were only 6 of us(really small school. my graduating class had 17) in his AP hist class and we spent more than 75% of the time talking WW2....Memories.....
Aw hell.. my school was full of weird teachers. Our headmaster was a chaplain attached to the intelligence unit of the 2nd Armored Div. Royal Hungarian Army. Only chaplain who had a close assault badge with clasps and some other chest lettuce.
