New Stadium - 50yd field

Post by garysorrell »

Big Darn Stadium
This would also be a good stadium for those interested, to open in gamespace light and slide around the 4 sides and make it fit the 100+yd fields.

I was watching a few games this weekend, and noticed some nice designs on the pressboxes. Some are just a big rectangle, some are more nifty.

About 40 fans were crushed during placement. Instead of remodeling the fans to make a space to fit the pressbox....well, I just dropped it on them

Those 'ledges' on the pressbox are colored by a small black texture. If anyone wants to change the look of the pressbox, they can also change the color of the little ledge thingys also.

Hmmmmmmmmm

well that was the plan

Ive managed to get stands in the right place
and they all fit nicely but for some reason the texture bitmaps arnt showing up in the game
all I'm getting is the creamy white even though the bitmaps are in folder ?

just noticed

after I save each object, its turning the documents into gibberish

EDIT - No Worries, I've worked that out now I think
just ran a quick test and it seemed to work ok this time [:D]

EDIT - Yep it worked
now to get on and do the rest and then alter all the stretched bmp's

I'd love to have this stadium in 100 yrd format. Can anyone make it? That is a sweet pressbox.

Oh, by the way, I'd love to have the Parson Field pressbox on a 100 yard stadium as well.

The fans are a bit tall also. I made the fan planes a bit too tall, so the image is stretched ataller than I would have wanted.

You can also just 'copy' the pressbox and slide a few together and make one long one, or just several in a row.

All done

Gary, you made that so easy man
having the fans already in place really made the job easier............ kewl
was much easier to resize and duplicate fans graphically then having to insert them in the 3D program

Thanks

Canadian Size also works for American sized field
the stands are just that little bit further away
which actually still looks ok if you insert a running track around the field

I'd be more than happy to let you have it
But sending you a copy will have to be on Gary's say so
his work not mine

Glad it worked for ya. I built this one in big chunks, figuring you would want to make it a big one.
In case you hadnt got this far yet...

Distribute freely. Im alway open to someone tinkering with my stadiums. The originals are on my site if anyone needs them. Whatever people do with them after that, is cool with me.

Yer thanks
I actually already figured out the copying of objects
I had too because my Ingraham Park Stadium (the now famous home of the Yellowknife SaberCats)
had only 3 sets of flood lights, one set was missing and it always bugged me.

Not that I dont use the Yellowknife Stadium you made for me, I do
I converted it for my Sherbrooke Vert-Et-Or in the MBCIS

Well in that case,
I'll just plonk it on my website so folk can download it
instead of me having to email it around, less work for me.
FULL credit will of course be given to you my Brother.
