Your favorite scenarios

Post by macgregor »

I'm curious as to which scenarios what people are playing. Besides, while posting may be a thankless job, I still think somebody ought to do it. Please answer me this:

1) What are your favorite 3 scenarios?
2) Are you playing any now?
3) Are you actively/passively seeking an opponent?

BTW -I'm currently seeking opponents for Iran/Iraq or reluctantly EA since I can't buy a response from Sapper32. My third favorite would be Countdown to Infamy but, regrettably, it won't play correctly in TOAWIII(like most ACOW scens). I'm also quite fond of ACW(I think it's the 'B' variant that has naval units.

My 3 favorite scenarios are (1) FITE (2) Directive 21 and (3) Overlord in that order. I'm currently playing Curt Chambers in FITE and playtesting Directive 21. I played Overlord hot-seat once a couple of years ago but it's ( so far ) the only semi-monster scenario I've played. I'm not currently seeking an opponent since FITE takes a massive amount of time to do ( correctly ) and I'm effectively playing two FITE's since Directive 21 is a modified FITE that has a Soviet PO.

Thanks for starting this thread....I think it is interesting to see what everybody else is playing right now as well.

My favorite three scenarios are 1) WWI McBride 2) Europe Aflame and 3) Western Front 44-45. I'm playing WWI (McBride) at the moment and looking for an opponent: either "Western Front 44-45" or "The North African Campaign"

I have always been a fan of the Fulda Gap scenarios, I think there are two or three from different eras of the Cold War and the Third War in Europe one. All stock.

What Larry said applies to me also.
Occasionally, and randomly, problems and solutions collide. The probability of these collisions is inversely related to the number of committees working on the solutions. -- Me.

Haven't played much else but EA,Directive 21 and Case Blau are good ones. I'd like to try some of the big modern scenerios.

Thanks guys. I've just discovered the perfect candidate for my naval standoff rules: Zero Hour. So I would add this to the scenarios I actively am seeking an opponent for.

I would probably go 1. EA, 2. FITE, 3. Braunschweig.

Hey macgregor are you still looking for a zero hour game?

I've got a game going right now thanks. I'd like to try ACW and my EA is moving too slow(might be up for another). May as well see how this handles Dec '41 because most COW scens have glitched on me. I could be up for another ZH eventually.
