1. Yes
2. No
3. Yes
4. About CC5 size on average...much larger than stock cc4 maps were
If it does not have a gun, it cannot be fun.

1) Not sure, I never had problems with AI mortars
2) No, and from my point of view even in real life half-tracks would dismount before tactical engagement. You don't drive your half-track fully loaded with infantry right through fire fight. That's suicide... did it happen that enemy force surprised a column of trucks or half-tracks? I'm sure it did. However from game play perspective it makes no sense...
3) I believe the smaller Inf/AT guns sould be movable, I knew this feature was in the original CC4. I did not try it yet with the Matrix version....
4) The maps I played on yesterday (just got the game yesterday) they seemed larger to me...however I haven't seen every map in matrix cc4 yet.

Ditto on the dismount thing. Its probably best to dismount before you enter the CC map. Keep your halftracks in the rear unless you want them wasted.

The mount/dismount is useful for larger maps. They can also offer protection from indirect and direct fire if you get caught in the open.

True Mooxe (I know you like huge maps), but I think they said these are CCV size maps, which are too beeg already. I tend to think in old CC4 terms, where Bastogne was considered a huge map.

Better keep the soft skin vehicles in the woods ...

The problem is that hafltracks are magnets for MG42 or .30 or .50 cal machine guns :) So I tend to keep them waaaaay back as mortar support. Once enemy machine guns run out of ammo I use them as support machine guns as needed...but since they are "thin cans" they don't last long in direct support rule. They can be easily destroyed with enemy mortars as well since they are open top.

I actually like smaller maps. There are ways to insert bigger maps you know..... If you had the ability to mount/dismount would you actually be asking for it to be removed? Ofcourse not, it can be very useful in a variety of situations.

Your right. I am not tring to argue. I agree it would just be better to have mount/dismount. Guys that want to dismount immediately can deploy at the edge of the map and do so, and guys that want to try to drive into the center of the map can give it a whirl.

This has certainly been my experience. I don't like having the halftracks shot up by everthing and everyone with a weapon.
