You should be able to unload pretty much anywhere as long as the unit you are unloading....

1) Has Action Points left. (i.e. you can load and unload in the same turn)

2) Can legaly enter the terrain you are trying to unload it into (Some unit types aren't able to occupy certain terrain type.. I think wheeled vehicles and high mountains are an example)

3) The territory being unloaded into is not neutral.

Those are pretty much the things that I can think of that would prevent an unloading operation.

Does the unit you are trying to unload have AP's left?

Also...who controls the territory you are trying to unload onto?

Are any hexes greyed when you click on the unload button for the unit?

If you can send me a screenshot....maybe I can help figure out what is going on.

Check that you are not trying to unload in hex owned by NATO (the pacific countries for example). That wont work because you are not at war.

NATO Turn 15 Done and sent on to PACT.

- Rear Echelon troops busy hunting down and killing of remnants of Spetnaz brigades that were inserted behind our lines. 1 more Spetznaz brigade destroyed in the air while trying to land in Northern Italy.

- In Eastern Poland a minor counter-attack by remnants of the Soviet Tank Guards Army supported by formations from various other PACT units after making some initial headway near Brest-Livostk is turned back and destroyed by NATO 3rd Army with heavy air support.

Turn sent to China. Nothing much to say, I'm still retreating my last troops in Europe and trying to find a new defensive line. Arabs units assaulted Tel-Aviv this turn. After a bloody dogfight in the skies, most the Israeli planes ended as wrecks in the surrounding hills. Infantry assault over the lines of Tsahal almost managed to capture the city but eventually had to break before the total victory. Next turn, maybe ?

Actually me and USSR (Herode) were planning a surrender within a couple of turns. So it might not be such a bad idea to call this game quits. Its been really fun, but we are beat and we know it :)

It seems i was premature in calling the game quits. Finally got a turn from Herode today.

- The americans are bombing Korea into the stoneage. No change there.
- A small seabattle results in the destruction of an american frigate
- Sydney falls to the concentric attak of the australian expeditionary corps. Melbourne is also occupied.
- Help sent to the USSR, 42 PPs worth.

Turn sent to USA.

Chinese turn done

After the fall of australia the eyes of the chinese turn north.
- Guadalcanal and islands surrounding it occupied by parts of the australian expeditionary corps.
- A mediumsized US transport fleet is spotted around Guam. Although attacked by light fleet elements the transport ships survive. Losses account to 1 frigate on each side.
- Help sent to USSR.
- China tries to assault Kabul. Although the attack fail the garrison is halved and is most likely open to capture by soviet forces in next turn.
- After US airforces in Japan mysteriusly stop its bombing campaign the Chinese airforces go on the offensive. American and PDRC airforces clash in a gigantic battle over the southernmost japanese city (Nagasakii?). The result is a very bloody draw with 5 fighter II, 1 Fighter and 4 tactical bombers lost on the US side. The chinese loose 5 fighter II and 4 Carrier Air. The city takes some damage but is not knocked out.

Sad to say so but i think that i want to surrender this game. NATO is obviously going to push USSR out of the game. After the fall of australia and Afghanistan there isnt much for the chinese player to do that wont take a lifetime (during which USSR will get knocked out).

Also there are new games starting up that looks interesting.

So China is officially suing for peace. We will give up all claimes on occupied territory,  claims on Taiwan and grant the independence of Tibet so that all wussy westerners will be satisfied. (the Ugurs and Falun Gong supporters will still get it though).

Have to say its been a great game.

Yeah, it was fun. I was probably more surprised then anyone as to how it turned out. I was really expecting to get plowed as NATO. Kudos to Herode for hanging in there as long as he did. Takes a classy player to keep up the battle once things turn sour.

Spetznaz turned out to be a real pain. I'm just glad I had air superiority by the time they were getting used in force or it would have been much uglier.

Hi guys !

Agreed with Grymme : I think the Kapitalist camp won this war and time has come for peace.
Congratulations to GrumpyMel for his performance with NATO ! The situation has been very tense during the first 10-12 turns at least and he did very well with his forces. Congrats also to Mao Tse Grymme whose Chinese soldiers saved the honour after the Pact collapsed [8D]

I think this scenario is really fun and deserves some attention from the other players. Thanks for your work Grymme, and for the game guys ! I'm going to have some pause in ATs right now but we'll meet later for sure. Hasta la vista, caballeros !
