The small (600 ton) AK Tomohon was torpedoed by I-154 off Singapore. She is making for Singapore with damage 51/42/21.

Rangoon, Singapore (1 Lily), Manila (1 Nell, 1 Betty and a B-25) and Clark were bombed. My raids on Kuala Lumpur and Brunei achieved nothing. The Jap raid on Kuching (21 Nells and 23 Bettys) was met by 36 P-40Es. 3 Nells were destroyed with 3 damaged along with 4 Bettys destroyed. 4 P-40Es were destroyed with 17 more damaged. Only 1 runway hit was scored. Those experienced Jap pilots are very heard to shoot down with my inexperienced pilots. This is going to be a very long war... I will withdraw my P-40Es covered by a Brewster LRCAP from Sinkawang.

A Zeke CAP over Moulmein shot down a Blenheim IV. The Japs are over the river so the bombers will shift their attention (see screenie).

4000 tons of supplies from Capetown are unloading at Geraldton in Western Oz.

DDs Thanet and Tenedos sailed from Batavia bound for withdrawal at Aden. 221 RAF Aviation is heading to Dacca fro Calcutta. 25th/18th Garwahl Bn has been freed up from garrison duties at Chittagong and will move forward to Cox's Bazar, which is currently only protected by an artillery unit.

Vancouver has expanded to port size 8. Victoria is a size 7, not a size 3 as reported last turn.

Johnston now has damage 0/65/91.

4 TKs are loading oil for Oz at Los Angeles. 7th US Division has transferred to PacFlt command and is loading onto AKs for Hilo. A Soviet AK has arrived at Seattle and is loading 3000 tons of supplies for Petropavlovsk. DD Schley has completed repair/upgrade at Vancouver and is cruising to SF.

2nd USMC Para Bn is unloading at Koumac.

Here are today's arrivals. I lost New Hanover - does anybody know where that is?

SigInt has placed the IJA 5th Curved Gun Bn at Johore Bharu.

AK Van Hentz was hit by a shell from I-154 off Palembang. In my haste I don't think I set any ships after this sub! ML William Van Der Zaan was torpedoed by Ro-67 south of Pontianak. ASW forces are hurrying to the area as the ML (81/63/28) makes for Pontianak.

Rangoon, Singapore (a Lily and a Sally), Manila (a Nell, a Betty and a B-25) and Clark were bombed. My B-25 attack on ground troops in the PI are having little effect so the B-25s will try their luck at naval attack again. Brunei took 2 oil hits. I must remember to check the damage next turn. I am hurrying as Mike is away next week and we want to get some turns done.

An Oscar was destroyed as some B-17s were driven off a shipping attack at Brunei. K XVIII (sys 12) will lay mines at Johore Bharu on her way to Diamond Harbour to repair.

38,000 tonnes of supplies from Aden are unloading at Madras.

Here is the current Calcutta Garrison - 18th Div is my Eastern Reserve. 7th Aus Div is planned as a Western Reserve if I get them safely to India.

Vancouver has expanded to port size 8. Victoria is a size 7, not a size 3 as reported last turn.
In other news today, after the swift recall of the mayor of Vancouver by citizens wielding clubs and pitchforks, the Vancouver City Council quickly rescinded the anti-port zoning ordnance that went into effect just two days ago. When asked for comment, City Council Chairman Justin 'want-to-let-it-be' Greene (formerly Reginald Henri Smythe-Edmund Anders) railed against the popular movement that forced his hand. He said "The Man-made increase in shipping is leading to sea-level rise around the world. We're all doomed. Doomed. Doomed I tell you!"

Hi Scott

You'd have to ask Nemo as it's the map that comes with the mod. The art is a little out of date as the shipping lanes do not conform to the artwork, but it's gorgeous to look at.

ps - you have CHS back. Sorry for the delay. I have Mike's next turn in front of the BigB game, but I'll try to get it back to you before I go to work tomorrow afternoon.

Various sub sighting reports put the KB on a track to Kwajalein. Johnston is now 0/65/81.

After a discussion with Mike we have agreed that the super-heavy bombers will have a hard floor of 14,000 ft on naval attack, apart from the Behemoth, which will have a hard floor of 20,000 ft as per Nemo's recommendations. My 4E are allowed down to 9,000 ft (6,000 when on search), but we will monitor to check that results are what we would expect. Mike initially wanted them higher (15,000 ft!), but I successfully argued that they would be unable to fulfill a sea denial role at that height as they would have no deterrent effect. I argued that it was important to balance the fact that his Bettys/Nells operate with torpedoes from almost any base at long range. The PB4Y and Privateer will be special cases to be discussed when they enter service. My relatively inexperienced B-17 crews in the DEI score very few hits from 9,000 ft.

I have diverted an AP carrying 46th Engineers to SWPAC to Hilo to help build up the base instead. 117th USN BF has left San Diego for San Francisco in preparation for later redeployment. The Americal Division is moving from Salt Lake City to SF. I am also moving spare bomber units that had been training in the hinterland (mostly B-18s) to SF to be ready to deploy to Hilo or elsewhere.

AV Curtiss is ready at Portland and will sail to SF to undertake convoy escort duties with her embarked airgroup. AVD Avocet is moving from Prince Rupert to Vancouver to complete repairs as the large shipyard there is now vacant.

HMAS Adelaide bombarded Nauru but did no damage. I still do not know the source of the radio transmissions.

20,000 tons of oil from CONUS arrived in Sydney.

Here is the PH air wing.

Port Moresby now has a size 2 port.

Rangoon, Singapore, Clark and troops at Clark were bombed. A Dinah fell over Rangoon, with the Japs losing at least a Lily over Singapore. The already damaged AK Tomohon was scuttled after 12 bomb hits from 15 Sallys attacking from 6,000 ft. Clark fell to a Jap deliberate attack with the defending forces retreating to Manila.

There seem to be a lot more Jap subs about (see screenie).

3,300 tons of supplies from Madras arrived at Tjilitjap. An inspection of Brunei reveals 102 damaged oil centres. 2 more 4 stackers completed ASW upgrade at Bombay and are heading for Batavia. K XI (sys 32) disdanded at Diamond Harbour for repair. I cannot remember if I mentioned that HMS Rover finished repairing a couple of turns back and is heading off to join the sub-mining campaign.

The Japs are now in Rangoon.

A Sally fell to flak over 49,31 (Homan I think), while I lost 3 SB-2s on naval attack over Taan. My shock attack at Kiungshan reduced forts to zero but did not cause a retreat. Mike has moved his aircraft to safety. I will try one more shock attack before retreating back across the straits as Mike has reinforcements on the way (see screenie). I have moved light bombers to a position to bomb Jap troops at Liungshan.

The Soviet AK Sibir arrived at Petropavlovsk with 3,000 tons of supplies from Seattle.

In our games sigint has been of very little value. In Big B you turtled up real quick and in CHS the foray into the South Pacific was a complete surprise. Everything I have achieved since then has been guesswork based on a few clues and trying very hard to know when to fight and when to hide...

The Jap PC Ch24 hit a mine and sank at Kwajalein.

6 DDs from Pearl are heading out after a Jap sub that has been spotted heading West just North of Oahu. Johnston is 0/65/70 and Christmas Island is 0/49/60. US 111th Infantry is unloading at Palmyra.

On the West Coast, the now fully repaired PG Sacramento is heading to SF for escort duties. 41st Infantry Division is moving to San Francisco from Seattle, with orders to plan for Kona in Hawaii.

18,000 tons of much meeded fuel have arrived at Perth aboard 2 AOs from Palembang. Here are the defensive dispositions in Western Australia. 6th AIF Division will be reassigned form SEAC TO SWPAC when it arrives (or as soon as I build up PPs after the 2 US Divs being reassigned use them all up!) and will also go to help defend this vital area.

The Jap DE Uji was torpedoed and sunk by O16 off Miri.

Hanoi and Brunei were bombed by B-17s. Brunei took 2 oil hits and 103 centres are now damaged.

The Japs hit Rangoon and Singapore (at least 2 Sallys destroyed). AK Maayo was attacked by 50 Zekes at Singapore. She was hit by 3 small bombs and 32 cannon/machine gun shells. She is atill afloat and will unload the 3 reamining tons of supplies before running to Palembang to try to control her flooding. The Dutch ML torpedoed recently is currently 96/80/1.

A newly repaired PT boat is being shepherded from Soerabaya to Balikpapan by the coast defence ship Soerabaya.

Here are the air units currently based at Soerabaya...

SigInt confirmed 14th Ind Inf Brigade is planning for Nanchang along with 4th Curved Gun Bn.

2 Sallys fell to AVG P-40Es over Sinyang. AP Nitta Maru took a bomb from an IL-4C near Hong Kong. I have still not seen these planes use torpedoes. Do I need to operate them from a bigger base? Another was downed by the Oscar CAP over Hong Kong.

The shock attack at Kiungshan failed again. Mike has 5 units on the way so it's time to go. I may have scored an own goal her as Mike now know he does not need ships to get all the units from Taan into Southern China! I will have to search for spare units elsewhere to send South. I will probably have to cease offensive operations in the centre to free up reserves for this vulnerable flank....

SigInt revealed that IJA 1st Guards Mixed Brigade is aboard AP Tofuku Maru bound for Palau. A mouseover shows 13 units there already so Mike is loading up for a renewed assault.

The KB is definitely at Kwajalein. USS Plunger was attacked (see screenie) She is making for PH with damage of 7/26/0.

Johnston is 0/65/59, Christmas Island is 0/49/58. 40,000 tons of supplies are loading at SF for PH as I continue to try to prepare for any siege. A "Steel" AK was taken in hand for conversion to AR.

In Australia Townsville became a size 4 airfield.

SigInt has revealed IJA 25th Army HQ is at Johore Bharu.

TK Angelina was torpedoed near Bali by Ro-67. She has damage of 83/86/27 and is attempting to make Bari to save her crew. ASW task forces are rushing to the attack hex (see screenie).

Rangoon (at least 1 Nell) and Singapore (at least 2 Zekes which were atacking at 100ft and a Sally) were bombed. Ground troops at Singapore were also bombed. Brunei was bombed by B-17s and took another oil hit with 106 centres now damaged. IJA 55th and 56th "Division" Brigades were bombed before the defences of Rangoon by Blenheims and Vildebeest operating out of Magwe and Mandalay. A Jap deliberate attack at Rangoon failed at a cost of 244/7 Jap casualties to my 13. The small AK Bicol was hit by 13 bombs at Singapore and has damage of 99/39/9. I did not scuttle her as I have more ships inbound and want her to attract the attention of bombers.

Off Legaspi B-25Ds hit the DD Tokitsukaze with a bomb, leaving her on fire. 2 B-25s were shot down by the Zeke CAP. Cotabato, North of Davao, was taken by the Japanese. FAA Beauforts have flown back to Manila to add weight to the anti-shipping campaign. I really need to start sinking/damaging more of Mike's transports to hinder his strategic mobility. Calcutta B-17s have been given orders to bomb the port at Taan from 32,000 ft. Mike still has a lot of ships there, some still nursing damage from when the Chinese had a squadron of lovely Pe-2s I think.

In China Yangku built a size 3 airfield. I forgot to check whether it is mine or Mike's! Borzya in Russia completed an upgrade of the airfield to size 6 and building has now stopped.

The Japs are reducing the last small guerilla force still behind their lines. I have ordered 93rd Field Army out of strategic reserve at Chungking. They will proceed to Xuwen opposite Kiungshan. Hopefully they will arrive before the Japs cross. Mike has been flying sweeps and recon birds over this currently unoccupied hex. I hope I can extract my forces from Kiungshan before he does something dynamic like dropping para's in behind me. I may send another unit from the reserve tomorrow.

Here is a screenie showing Tracker 1.4's new ship history function. If only all ships gained experience as fast as aircraft carriers...
