Scenario Cooperation anyone?

Post by Widell »

Working on a large scale European WWII scenario, and in order to get it ready for playtesting, and eventually ready for release, I'm now looking for one or more interested modders that can take on any of the following areas:
  • Event writing.
  • Terrain and Location Graphics. Maybe a few NATO counters as well.
  • Playtesting once there's someting to test.
I'm working with the following approach, and if you don't feel this is along the lines of what you want to develop, please don't get involved right now. The scenario will be released for other modders so you can change it to your liking later on:
  • Using the huge Europe+ map by Boron as the base. Need to add a small number of new terrain types in order to properly model North Africa and a few specific road types.
  • Using RealMod which will be included with the scenario download with any additional map, terrain and location graphics added.
  • Using NATO counters for units, and country specific SF Types.
  • Developed for 2 player PBEM only.
  • I have the basic plot described, and need someone to help translate that into events and Action Cards.
Let me know if you're interested by sending a PM or e-mailing robert(at)kodapa(dot)com and we'll discuss the details.

Good Luck!  I will watch for your efforts to come to fruition.  However, I don't play email games.  t

Tagwyn - Not sure how well a monster scenario like this would play out vs AI, but once it's playable as PBEM, anyone is free to convert Action Cards into Events so the AI at least have a shot at it. I guess, some mini AI scenarios could be derived from it as well.

JMass - Thanks, I'll surely have a look for those, and make sure you get credit for your work.

Widell,

There doesn't seem to have been a lot of takers here, though perhps you've had some PM's. In any event, I'm also not much of a PBEM player. However, if you have specific event you need I would be willing to give it a shot.

Though be forewarned that i'm not an event expert like some of the posters here. (though I've written some).

Rick

Rick - Bartheart has offered to participate, and is currently going through the scenario (or map+) as it looks right now. Send me a mail at robert(at)kodapa(dot)com or a PM with your mail address an we can talk events. Currently, I need to create the opening events to get the scenario ready for a first playtest, but we can discuss more via mail.

JMass, where do I get it? Alternatively, I am using Webizen's NATO symbols, but will soon need additional symbols... alternativly, if anyone feels like creating NATO symbols? Basically, I'm looking for a few of these: http://www.niehorster.orbat.com/000_adm ... mbols.html and these: http://www.niehorster.orbat.com/017_bri ... s_raf.html.

Let me know if you're interested, and we'll talk about what is needed.

Just sent an email about this.

but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
