PROBLEM WITH SCREEN DISPLAY

Downloaded the game from Matrix site. On trying to play the game I receive the message

"Display Mode cannot be changed (1280 x 1024 16 bit)" Then the computer only displays the mini map not the main map making the game unplayable. Any help welcome.

Change the resolution in Options to 1024x768. Let me know if this does not help.
