Even more recently, I had to reinstall my os as I had replaced major computer parts. I didn't foresee an issue with a PBEM.
Anyway, I followed these instructions from Carl Myers
By reinstalling Kharkov, loading each turn and ending it (without actually going into the turn) but as soon as I got to the first turn sent back to me from Lance (1st turn AFTER the setup turn), I got this messageIf you have reinstalled your Kharkov game because of computer problems, you have wiped out the registered secured games. Load each file sent FROM Sabre1, end it, load the next one, end it until I'm at the current turn.
If you have not reinstalled your Kharkov game because of your computer problems, continue with the last turn sent by Sabre1.
If you have reinstalled Windows, reinstall Kharkov.
I have since tried to actually go into the turn and exit using the X at the top, but this shows the same message.
I have now just tried to go into the first actual turn sent, end it using the End Turn button, but did not send the game to Lance. However, when I try to load the second file he sent (turn 2) it simply says I have a current game ongoing and I need to finish the turn and send it.
So I'm stuck.
Basically, I need to know exactly what I have to do to get BACK into the game I was originally playing. I DO NOT want to replay my turns as it isn't simply about restarting as we were doing an AAR...that would involve alot of work with screen shots and descriptions etc. So if I have to replay my turns, then I'll simply end the AAR or just end the PBEM.
Help required please.
