Crash when adding planes to CV

I have the current patch and am playing CHS 2.08. I received the CV Ticonderoga with three elements. 43 fighters, 33 TB and 15 DB. The 15 DB had no pilots so i filled them, but when I try to more planes to fill out the 18 planes I get a CTD. This happened 4 straight times. I do have a save is anyone is interested.

Is the CVTF docked in port or at sea?

...and have you tried transferring them to a base? They may draw a complement of pilots...

The carrier was disbanded in port. It is moving to a top secret location and I will try again. [8|]

Try transferring to a base from at least a hex away and it should draw pilots to fly them.

I tried to transfer them to a base, this time when I clicked on the air unit to be transferred, I had a CTD [&:][:@]

The only thing i can suggest at this point is to check and/or reload your artwork (bad art file(s) can cause CTD) and to check to make sure your video drivers are up to date.
