Scenarios I'd like to see

Post by macgregor »

Feel free to add your ideas.

1) The possibility of Iran attempting to close the straits of Hormuz has been discussed much and I'm sure there are contingency plans in place. Yet there is no scenario in TOAW for this.
2)There's a war going on in Afghanistan with a potential to include Pakistan. There's no scenario for this however.
3) Something involving Venezuela and Colombia, with US/Rus intervention might be nice.

I don't expect scen designers to work at my request, but I lack the hard data for such scenarios, still I would be willing to help under the supervision of an experienced scen designer.

I've always wanted to see a scenario where the Germans achieve their objective during the Bulge and the Western Allies due make a separate peace. It would be interesting to see how the Germans would fair from that point on against the Russkies. Or maybe the premise that the Germans defeat the Normandy landing and get a separate peace in June of '44 and go head to head with the Russkies as a single front war.

Thanks mantill. I've checked that out and it's pretty cool, offering up an interesting scenario that might have been.

I have recently purchased TOAWIII and this would be a great campaign I think. The Germans at full production without the damages caused by strategic bombing versus Russia full tilt would be quite the slug fest.

Roosevelt personally promised Churchill that if the Germans reached Antwerp, America would raise 200 divisions.

Germany wasn't going to get a victory by military means so late in the war. You might postulate a Roosevelt who is much more hostile to Stalin. Then they might come to an arrangement with the German army in order to contain Russia- at the expense of Hitler.

I have the maps for these two areas that I have made if someone wants to take the time to do a scenario, if so just shoot me an email. Thanks
