What if: Japan vs USSR

I'm looking for anyone interested in recreating a hypothetic encounter during an invasion of the USSR by Japan, one of those "what if" scenarios, and one that for some reason sounds particularly appealing to me.

I've played a few battles, but I'm a little out of practice, and I have no clear idea of how the Emperor's men would go about poking the Bear in the rear, but I'm willing to give it a try. I'd probably take Japan, if anyone is interested in taking the Soviets.

Preferences: All realism settings on, C&C isn't a favourite, but optional if you'd prefer. I like small or medium forces, but always in extra-large maps. I love the terrain to wander around in. I'll be willing to play a large force, but I typically lose focus and end up blundering. Still, it could be interesting, so if you prefer big forces and like the idea, I'm not hard to convince.
