Has this game been canceled?

Post by Harvester »

Wow! I keep forgetting that this game even exists. Every once in a while I'll scroll down far enough and notice it again.

So is this still being worked on or has it been canceled?

It's still being made but taking longer than expected.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

I heard they are taking a new direction with the engine and are going to use an enhanced and revamped version of Close Combat 3 for the release.

Most certainly not!!!

We are just busy with both the game and everything esle that running a board game company demands.

We posted some new screen shots from the computer game, Heroes of Stalingrad. You can see them here:

Here's a sample:

I sent some fresh screens to Matrix also.

LOL...

I can see where these questions arise, but let me throw out a brief explanation. It isn't that we haven't been working on Heroes of Stalingrad... we have... but we also have a ton of other stuff on our plate at Lock 'n Load Publishing. We've released numerous boardgames (including a Charles Vasey award winner and another nominee) since HoS was announced. It's a unique situation. However, not a day goes by that some progress isn't made.

Yep, no problem. We will post more video as soon as we lick the Vista problem... keep in mind, the game runs great on Vista. It's Fraps, the video capture software that isn't working with Vista. We will post a couple of new screen on Friday. I gave a slew to Matrix last week. I'll sure they will put them up soon.

Racing Toward the Finish

Post by markhwalker »

Argh!!! I hate the name of this forum. No...we are busting our butt on this. Implementing the persistent layer to the German campaign now. Basically you'll be able choose up to three units to carry from mission to mission. You'll be able to upgrade those troops (or a single tank), increasing firepower, morale, range, buying skill cards, or --in the case of the tank-- armor upgrades, increasing rate oof fire, slight movement increases, etc. Also incorperated patrol technology this week...enabling enemy squads to hunt for your forces.

Last month we put in air support and off-board artillery. This game will rock your tactical world.
