19th century database

I'm thinking of starting the scenario 'ACW'(I'm looking for the version with the naval units if anyone has it) and I'm curious. To play it in TOAWIII do I need to setup an eqp folder? And if so, do I have to download the COW version and convert it? There are counter images as well. Where would they go(in graphics I suppose)?

I'm sorry to say that I cannot get this to work. I have the eqp in the proper folder in my graphics folder. i have yet to replace my beautiful JMass counters with these replacement ones. Do I have to do this to get it to work? My units are not being eqipped with the new database. (and I know to start with freshly opened game.)

What folder is the .EQP file in? The Graphics (And Language) don't matter.

Weird, cuz the files I zipped and sent you come straight out of my TOAW game folder

The complete folder containing eqp and counter bmp's has to be placed in the graphics folder
It's important that that folder has the exact same name as the sce file.. the sce file of course goes somewhere in your scenario folder

Are you running the latest patch 3.2.29.27 ?

The folder says 'American Civil War 1861-1865' and it's in my graphics folder. Keep in mind I have 2 scenarios with that name now only one says after 'vBo9'. I'll try and rename the folder. Thanks Ralph.

Nope. That didn't do it. The eqp file is 879kb. Is that correct?

We're getting somewhere. I put the bmps back in the folder and now I'm getting the right flags. i'm downloading it again.

Still no equipment. I noticed there is no navy in New York either. is this the right scenario Silvan?

i even tried downloading the XIXth db from RD and threw that in the folder as well. Still no weaps.

Naval units enter from turn 40 onwards in New York... Gunboats, ironclads etc

There was a version that started right off with 'ships of the line' but this will work. Thanks Silvain.

I am having the same problem but (maybe I am dimwitted) I don't inderstand what you did to get it working. I don't see anything with vBO9. Can you explain further please?

If it's not working, I'll guess it's because either the sce,eqp, or the folder is named with B09. The key here I think is that all 3 of these have the same name(while maintaining their proprer extension-eqp,sce). Check capitals and spaces.

Got it working. When I unzipped the eqp file wound up in the wrong folder[&:]

Deleted, unzipped and all works.
