What does a siege artillery counter look like?

Does it say "S-L" in the bottom right? I presume the "L" means light.

oh, and can allied units of different nations stack together?

Allied units can stack together, but pay, I believe a 25% penalty in combat.

"S" indicates Siege Guns. "L" for loaded?

"dpstafford" has your answer but I (and I could be wrong) don't believe the S-L appears (or the S for that matter) until loaded. They are always a strength of one, though, and other units are never lower then "2" (?).

Didn't know that but it makes sense. I've been mixing British and French units in attacks fairly routinely and that explains a few things. Seems there is a lot going on in the background that isn't apparent unless one digs. Apparently I still have a lot to learn.

That is from memory. But it is something that the Frank of Hunter recently revealed in this very forum.

Yes, "L" is for loaded.

And yes there is a "cooperation" penalty of 25% when allied units are stacked together.
