Extrating resource image

hello I've been reading every thread I could find relating to extracting the resource image but didn't find anything that solve my problem.

I'm getting an image with white instead of the purple background. Is it supposed to be like this or am I doing something wrong? I've tried extracting other images too but the same results, also tried .gif .jpg .bmp .tiff all with same result.

game version 1.02.2
