I rented a G6 for a week a couple of years ago. It was fun to drive and not too large, but I have no idea as to what the long term costs or hassles would be...

Well, im of the G6 kick.. to many hassles long term-----steering intermediate shaft,tie rods, electronic steering box are just some of the things


Im seriously looking at a 2004 PT cruiser touring edition.. even cheaper than the G6

Those silly buggers at the bank....hehehehe     Somehow they think since i'm on disability i'm officially not working. They are not too keen on loaning me some bread even though i'm putting up a significant amount myself.  They said I havent worked since June so i'm a bad risk....hehehe. 

I wouldn’t take it personal, in reality their most likely a higher credit risk then yourself.
I’ve had two separate operating cost floaters hard-lined to the point of irrelevance, put simply the banks don’t have the disposable capital .

PS: ever drive Toyota ?, if not can’t hurt to take a spin around the block can’t beat their service record [;)]

Oh, I'm not taking it seriously..hehehe..In a way i'm laughing. I think I can get a loan thru my personal bank for that sum quicker than the idiots at the dealership.

For some strange reason the banks in western New York are flush with cash, hiring from the dropoffs from the main banks and tend to loan money out. Unfortunatley the bank the dealership uses one of the big boys.......

Disclaimer: My wife is a wildlife photographer, and sells her work at art-fairs. The events are scattered all over creation. The vehicle provides her with both off-road capability and sufficient cargo-space for her booth and inventory. YES, WE ACTUALLY NEED THE DAMN THING! [;)]

Hush Now!!! My in-laws are law enforcement...can't have them thinking I would break the law by speeding[X(]

but it was a 1985 mr2 so it was a bit tired from it's travels so I did over-abuse it

I've been cached once in Utah for speeding. Was driving 97 mph where 55 mph was allowed.
But the Policeman was polite and let me go without the ticket.

I got 2 speeding tickets in my life and both for little piddling amounts. Both times i got them reduced to parking tickets. Now if they caught me in that mr2 on the thruway(156mph) I would have lost my license..... fast fast fast      that mr2 smoked...cheapest car I ever bought($900 US Marshals auction-car was impounded at the Peace Bridge into the USA and they found bags and bags of coke) The dealer had some upgrades in that motor.. Had that sucker for 9 months...Great summer car but not so good in blizzard conditions..........

Well, it's official..I'm going to pick up my PT cruiser in 2 hours... My wife is thrilled.. She chose the color..Dark Turqouise...I guess it's not too manly of a color but hey its not hot pink like my daughter wanted and it works better than my present cavalier..

I have a 2002 PT, handy car. It's been a good reliable ride. Easy to get into and out of, good gas mileage, (I get around 22 MPG on average) and inexpensive.

Drawbacks include: Noisey, slightly underpowered, weak brakes that needed complete overhaul @ 20k miles. The closest dealer for them is a complete effin a-hole who I will never even so much as look at again.

I am on the other side of the state from you (near Saratoga)...not to bad here but I have my 4 X 4 for the bad days and the Neon for drier days. Luckily gas has gone done a lot lately, hope it stays that way.

Well I went with the PT cruiser..Saves me a few bucks... But I really havent enjoyed it yet as last night I went back to the ER with classic heart attack symptoms. I mean the whole shebang.. Every symptom from A to Z. Obviously since I writing this  i'm home and its nothing serious as all tests came back negative but I have to follow up with all my doctors next week. A bit scary for the whole clan.

You may have a hiatal-hernia. The condition introduces part of your stomach into your chest. That can be problematic in that there's really not room in there for it. The crowding can chest pain and tightness when any sort of compression occurs, and, sometimes, heart-palpitation. It can diagnosed with a simple (and relatively inexpensive), "upper-GI" radiograph.
