what time tomorrow?

Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge is a turn-based strategy that puts you command of a squad of specialists for hire in the genre’s biggest game-world yet: the African country Diamond Coast. Diamond Coast is a playground for the cruel and corrupt, each with their own agenda. Choose your friends wisely and buy an army of ruthless mercenaries to unleash mayhem on your foes. Choose “jobs” from different factions and complete them for cash to upgrade your weapons and hire more elite soldiers of fortune.

The earliest we thought we might release was Wednesday (the 26th), rather than tomorrow, but that has now been moved back to next Monday for contractual reasons to synchronize release timing.

Nothing on the digital store yet, but there's still plenty of time today if they're going to release it.

We're waiting for word from our partner. I just spoke with them again today and they're waiting to hear from the retail stores that the game is received and in stock. As soon as we get that word back, we will go live in our store. It could be today, I'm told it's guaranteed to be this week.

I just walked into my local best buy and there it was $29.99 for the boxed copy which I purchased.  So the game is already out in retail stores.

See? That's why you shouldn't have given us 2 release dates so far when you don't actually know. First it was Nov 26th then it get's changed to Dec. 1st and neither date has been met. Next time just say, "2 weeks".

I will probably buy retail version anyway because I am expecting it will be cheaper in a Canadian retail store than a US online store due to the crappy exchange rate right now.

I just checked that Bear's Pit forum and see a post from someone there saying he bought it at BestBuy last Friday. The game has been released to retail for three days already so what's the hold up excuse now?

Just stopped by a local Best Buy on home from work and the game is definitely available to buy. Not sure why online stores get it later...should have been out on Matrix at 12am today which would coincide with retail release.

There is a particular retailer which shall remain nameless that will not carry a game if it is already available as a digital download - this is why we have to wait. We are releasing Hired Guns as fast as contractually possible, I assure you.

Not naming names, but is this the same retailer who allowed a temp employee to be crushed to death due to lack of security on Black Friday?

Ah, heck. I can name names.....I despise Wal-Mart. I never buy anything from them. I'd sooner go without.

I love Wal-Mart. I also love that I don't work there.

It's not Wal-Mart, but in any case that's beside the point. The likelihood of a release today was pretty high, at this point it's not happening, but I think the likelihood of a release tomorrow is extremely high. We'll keep you posted, we can't set it live until we get the green light.

I'd guess it were those retards at Gamestop/EB but, then again, I recall them carrying the Combat Mission CEs long after they were available online.  Of course, that was a repackage.

It'd also be kinda hard to believe they'd get PC games in later than Best Buy, but GS doesn't seem to really care about them much anymore.
