Simmer's NCAA

Post by bbmike »

Is anyone else having problems with Simmer's NCAA league file? I can simulate a game okay but when it goes to save information to the database after the game it goes really, really slow then freezes. It doesn't even get past the first game I try. I tried repairing and compressing the database but that didn't change anything. The other (default) league files simulate games fast.

Never tried Simmer's NCAA league file buddy, sorry
I did quick test it before hosting it but I've never played it properly

I'll give it another look over tomorrow (bit late in the day now 12.15pm).

EDIT: so I can try reproduce what your talking about
are you simming single games or a week at a time ?

I never had a problem and I am in week 7. I have been simming all Division II games.........I will look at this if this is a problem.....Make sure all the players are there.......CPU is what I use for all teams and it has no problems so far replacing an injured player, but if a team is human owned, I think that it could pose problems. There are alot of teams so check each one carefully.

Thanks simmer. I suspect it's a problem in my league file. I control one team and the CPU has all the rest. I'll have to go through each one and check the players.

Did exactly the same as you said bbmike

changed one team to human control
and simmed single games

No Problems at all
everything worked nice
no speed issues or freezing up

IMO its something you did to the league file (at a guess)
you'll have to back track on yaself and undo anything you did (or download it again).
cant help any further than that without knowing more about any changes you may have made.

Yeah, I checked my league file with Open Office Base and it was corrupted. There were multiple, randomly assigned human teams among other things. Thanks for the help guys. I should have checked it more thoroughly before posting. [:'(]
