Stat recovery after severe injury?

One of my favorite mercs, Lin, has now survived twice to point blank grenades (assault armor no doubt helped). However, on the second time she appears to have picked up some shrapnel in the brain and lost 15 pts of wisdom. She's in the 40's now.

Does this recover or is it permanently lost? Can't complain really as other than training ability and I suppose character interaction, it doesn't seem to have affected her much. Other than a little drooling out of the corner of her mouth, she's still a crack shot! But the question stands, are these types of injuries permanent?

Lin ? wow, I am about ready to shoot her myself, she starts with a good weapon, but for me, all she says, I can't see

(lol had he standing on top of a dieing trooper, told he to shot, she said she couldn't see, told he to shoot and did a 40 point damage shot to him, easy to go Hand to Hand, but trying to build up Acc points during mop up)

All my mercs say that at one time or another to be honest.  Besides CC who starts with a sniper rifle, she's my best shot and her weapon is superb.

hmmm, what happened to all of my R's ? lol, I sound worse then she does

I understand that, but this last battle, every phase, she couldn't see, and the one, like I said, she was standing on top of him when she couldn't see him


for what it is worth, Dagger and Me are the two best shots so far, Lin starts out at 61 (at least for me she did), Dagger was 84 and I was 85 at start

which of course, in games like this, something happens early on, and you grow to like some one, and start to look out for them, they get the better gear, the better placement for the battle and so on

Dragon and Dagger have been my fancy guys, they get the good stuff, but they also take most of the damage(which is ruff, as Dagger is suppost to be my sniper, but my rifle has been out of ammo for a few days)

Does this recover or is it permanently lost?

I'm pretty sure you can still recover the points through training but don't hold me to it. I believe I remember doing that a while back but I'm not positive. If you do find evidence either way about this do post it on the forum and let us know!

Given that it's wisdom she lost, I don't think that's trainable?  But I guess the answer I was looking for if it could be healed, not trained.  I guess I'm ok she's a blithering idiot as long as she manages to shoot straight.
