Battle for London HARD Sarge's version

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

for targets, no real reason for most of the choices, other then that is how I am, I hit Oil, so would like to finish off what is in the area, I am hitting the CFAC, so will use that as the main target type for the raids, not really high value targets and knocking them out will not help me shut down anything

from the summery screen, I have some 3700 planes ready, Tanker has 700, so I built my numbers up by resting some of my boys (I had 2900 for day 2 and Tanker had 600) so I gained 800 to Tankers 100

of course, Tanker may be moving Squadrons around, that is going to show them as unready, his front line boys have taken some HARD knocks (so have mine, but I can rest mine)

really a peaceful day, depending on your point of view and which plane you happened to be in at the end of the day

and here is the target listing after the 2nd day

looking at the score after two Days, it is pretty close, and I am showing a 70 something point lead, that I shouldn't have, take that away and it is even closer

in fact for how I would like to score this battle, I think Tanker is in the lead (can't have that, got to be a rule someplace that I am allowed to win, I mean, I am the good guy [:-])

got to love the net, come home from work, and post a nice long detailed post on what my ideas and plans are and what and why I am doing so, what I expect and hope from Tanker and I get a log out, so it is all lost

soooo, I pulled down 3 more Bomber Gruppen from the North, I sent out night raids from the North to try and camo this move

I am hitting Tanker HARD this turn, if everything goes off as planned, and was still able to rest some of my boys

(really, the 41 campaign is not set up for the short battle, it is the long battle that is going to be most fun)

Sorry again, got the turn and ran it, took my snaps and my notes but the real world kicked in and was able to post anything (had to track down what Med was being shipped to my wife, when they decided they weren't going to send all of the order, took about 2 and a half hours to get the info, and by then, it was too late to do any detail posting, needed to have the med today, and it came yesterday afternoon)

so, we back in gear now (as my old Lt used to say, we cooking with gas now !)

(yea, I know, we didn't know what he meant either !!!)

LOL, I don't think I told any of my battle plans, or much of them, but I planned on a heavy set of raids, right down Tankers throat

okay here are the results of the raids, I wish the FOW numbers were true, but I don't think I knocked down that many RAF fighters

good soild raids

based on my target damage, I will hurt the RAF down the road, but it won't bother them in a 7 day campaign, so while the losses are really kind of close, it is not really hurting the RAF

Greesh, I must of really been tired, I didn't get any snaps of my plots for the next day

ahhh

overall, I going to try and wear him down a little, I got raids going out at 07, 09, 11, 13, 14, 1600 , but still, I wanted a bad weather day, but got 14%, so had to go for more damage

I wanted a day off, to get my boys some rest, so I could end the battle with a massive all out assult, I been priming Tanker for one, but he has not seen one yet

hmmm, end of day two, I had a 85 point lead (which I think it is -71/-72 points that shouldn't be there, so really should be a 13/14 point lead)

so that is now a 118 (so about 47) I got the lead, but nothing a few crashes wouldn't change

good tight game, Tanker is putting up a good battle

and I found my target plots !!!

okay day 4, Tanker is turning into a Royal Pain, he keeps trying to fight, when he should know it is time to give up and let me do what I want in peace

I got hurt by one of the bugs, we had it fixed, but something brought it back, but to be honest, it hurt me, but even with out it, I would of been hurting bad (bug just made the pain a little deeper)

so lets see what happened

well, guess first off, will show off the losses, I wouldn't want to be around Kernin Hall, when the daily reports came in, the Fat Man is going to have a cow

well, both of us, took it on the chin, I think I got a broader Chin then Tanker does, but, even so, we both too a pounding

even worse, weather or time, causes a number of my raids to not take off, and depending on how you look at it, they could of toar up a worn out RAF, or they could of just added to the loss totals for the day (but since the last round was all aimed at his Airfields, I think I would of rather of seen them take off then not

the raids themselfs
