Can one easily downgrade?

Can I go back to 1.30c from 1.30f by simply extracting the older zip upgrade file? A screenview problem mentioned in the tech section is the latest reason for this desire.

I would say yes. I reloaded the 1.23 patch when 1.24 wasn't working too well and I reloaded the 1.30c patch when 1.30f changed the rail cost for transporting resources from 1 to 3. Both reloaded and worked fine.

Thanks. It worked by extracting the file to the Patches folder, where I doubleclicked on it to start the "update" procedure.
