Blood?

Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge is a turn-based strategy that puts you command of a squad of specialists for hire in the genre’s biggest game-world yet: the African country Diamond Coast. Diamond Coast is a playground for the cruel and corrupt, each with their own agenda. Choose your friends wisely and buy an army of ruthless mercenaries to unleash mayhem on your foes. Choose “jobs” from different factions and complete them for cash to upgrade your weapons and hire more elite soldiers of fortune.

Blood?

Post by pndrev »

I'm almost feeling as if I'm playing a censored German version here... are there no blood effects at all in HG?

In JA, the blood trails left behind by a bleeding enemy were quite important. It also seems a bit sterile with enemies just falling over when shot.

It IS fun. I'm just missing decals, in general. No scorchmarks from grenades, no bullets, I can shoot through a window without the glass shattering... I'm not asking for FPS like gore, but a spot of blood or two, like in the previous games.

When I blow things up in the game I see scorch marks, and when I break glass it shatters. Perhaps you should check your game settings?

I have all detail sliders in their right-most position and activated... All I get are debris and fragment flying, no marks on the ground. Windows stay intact when shooting through them.

I'll try deleting the system.cfg (save for the camera) and see if resetting that helps.

EDIT: Got shattering windows now. Still no decals from grenades etc. though.

Strange. I'm not seeing this in my version. Or do I need something stronger than mini-grenades?

it might be the mini, those got to be dead on, to do much damage, a "real" grenade has a good blast radius in the game

I thought this was a mini, but the battle was a while back, that is almost a cliff face, and the nade was dropped down on top of them
