Excellent game!

Alright, it's time for me to eat a little crow. When I first bought HG, I was expecting a sequel to JA2 so was disappointed when I learned that it was made by a Russian software development shop, and was not the 2nd coming of JA2. There were some "issues" that bothered a lot of us before the beta patch, and coupled with the questionable grammatical standards of the game, I was soon expecting to hate playing this through.

But I'm happy to say that with the beta patch, I'm having a great time playing HG. I spent the better part of all day today playing capturing the Dam sector with my mercs, and it was a lot of fun. Every one of my mercs except Jabby was injured in some way, but they all survived.

Certainly, there are still a few little nits to be picked(still trying to get used to manipulating the camera), but overall, I now whole-heartedly recommend this game to anyone still sitting on the fence. I know it's going to get even better with some modding.
