Strategic Questions

Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge is a turn-based strategy that puts you command of a squad of specialists for hire in the genre’s biggest game-world yet: the African country Diamond Coast. Diamond Coast is a playground for the cruel and corrupt, each with their own agenda. Choose your friends wisely and buy an army of ruthless mercenaries to unleash mayhem on your foes. Choose “jobs” from different factions and complete them for cash to upgrade your weapons and hire more elite soldiers of fortune.

Strategic Questions

Post by SlickWilhelm »

Ok guys, I've conquered the North Road, the Road Block, the Dam and the Safari. I've got quite a few wounded mercs on my hands.

1) May I spin my wheels for a day letting my wounded mercs heal up, or am I time-constrained to keep moving for some reason(i.e. am I going to miss something if I rest for a day)?

2) Does it matter in which order you conquer sectors?

Thanks!

1) The only thing that happens when you wait on the strategic map is counter attacks. AFAIK there is only one instance when you have to hurry and it´s the "Miners Strike" quest. You only got 20 hours after you get the mail to solve it.

2) Don´t think so. I´ve not experienced any issues with it.

1- You also have a time constraint on the 1st day where you must solve the issue on the Safari. If you haven't released the named NPC before the end of day 1 the client will be pissed and will email you, but it is not gameover. Dunno the real impact of it because I loaded a previous savegame and did the Safari instead of continuing.

2- No conquering order needed as far as I know.
Also, when you conquer the airport you can go directly to any sector without conquering any of the sectors in the middle.
