Why's a Minimi in 5.45, and not 5.56?[&:]

got to ask the Russian Programmers, all of the western ammo is 5x45, 7.62x51 and such

Welllllll nowwwww....... If you like the minimi, then you'll love the m-60 I have several machine guns in my game at the moment and they rock big time. They destroy walls too. I love the 10 round burst fire and they have serious range like sniper rifle ranges. Not as accurate, but 10 rounds makes up for that. They are hands down my favorite weapon of choice. Yes they are heavy and only select gorillas can weild them.


I think HS is mistaken about the ammo though. They use western ammo boxes.

1st - The minimi is chambered for 5.56x45 in RL and in the game. Both are accurate.

2nd - Hard Sarge are you saying that 7.62x51 is not a NATO standard? If so thats incorrect.

well, I wrote the first one down wrong, it is 5.56x45, not 5.45

but, in the west, it is called a 5.56 and the 7.62x51 is a 308, when stated as a Nato round, it was called just 7.62

which in the long run, the round length is correct too, since there are now so many different one

? 7.62x51 is western ? it is the 308, or the Nato 7.62, and the 5.56 is also western, game calls it 5.56x45, we normally just call it a 5.56 (from what I remember the 5.56x39 was a later copy, so wasn't around when I was learning my ammo names)



just got a M-60, looks nice, got a slide added to mine
