My friend at work finally talked me into trying HCE (i am more of a ww2 fighter and tank jockey sim person) and i just purchased and downloaded the game from the matrix site.

My first adn most simple question (i am not at home so will check answers at home) is the game i DLed the most up to date version that i keep reading about in here? How can i check on my game to see and verify the version i am running?

Thanks for the answers and love all the tactical stuff in here, way over my head but i plan on many years of enjoyment from learnign the ropes and gettingthe hang of this game.

The most current, publicly available version is 2008.044. You can find it here.

How can i check on my game to see and verify the version i am running?

At the top task bar, click 'Help' and then 'About Harpoon Commander's Edition'. The version is displayed there.

You're in the right place. Harpoon is the best naval warfare simulation available, bar none. I'm certain you will enjoy it. [:)]
