Von Altair mod slightly modified

Post by rominet »

Hi

I 've began to proceed to a slight modification of the great Von Altair's mod on Roman Empire.
Here are the modifications:
- Roman player has now the ability to recruit new unit at high cost in PP:
10 PP for a normal unit, 50 PP for a HQ
- Except in Italia, Africa and Greece, most roads and bridges have been removed from map.
- The Worker barbarian unit is reduced.
- The geography of Northern Europa has been slightly changed: more light and heavy forest.
- 1 town added in Hispania (Asturica)
- Action Card Mauritania more expensive: 200 PP

As i am completely new with this game, i can not do everything i want yet. My intention is to set Carthage at war with Roman at the beginning and an Action Card for activation of Germania. Just to be nearer than history.

If you have some ideas or suggestions??

PS: thanks to Von Altair whose mod gave me a further reason to buy this game[:)]

If you want to be nearer to history, then Rome should start with only Scipio Africanus and the Barbarians should start with only Hannibal, and they would have to play action cards to bring in more generals. The opposing sides could also play cards to kill each other's generals, for example, the Barbarians could get access to an "Ides of March" card as soon as Rome plays the "Julius Caesar" card.
