Questions on repairing items.

Can you repair items in a particular order? Does the merc only repair what is in his/her hand? Does repair only apply to items that are eqiupped on the mechanic's person?

I repaired equipment for the first time yesterday, and I've found that the mechanic repairs items only in his/her hands or things that he/she is wearing. Which I thought was dumb, but whatever...

No, he will repair all of his items, and then repair others (better,quicker to repair your own)

biggest hassle as SW pointed out, is the weapon Attachments wear out during combat fast

The repair order is held items, then worn items, then items in your pack (large slots before small slots).

After what SW said, also other items in the squad, and then other items in other squads in the same sector. 

For the squad, it is first person listed (left most on the squad control screen) to the last person listed (right most), with each following the repair order as themselves.

For the other squads in the same sector, it is first squad to the sixth with each squad following the repair order as above.
