Where is all the action?

Post by Gary Gossett »

Just started a PBEM game. the problem is that I am not seeing any combat and or sighting action. I think we are both having this problem-all we seem to be able to do is input orders and if we are lucky any intel we get is from the i button-in fact there is not even a combat report button on the tool bar. I have had the game since it came out and have the same settings that I have in my game against the AI. Reports on, anitmations on, etc. At least I have the option to watch if I prefer. Yes, I have read section 8.2 of the rules and now I realize that we have not been send two files-the game file and the replay file.

I have three questions.

1. How do we get the game replay file back into the game save 2 slot?-I have checked and it is not there.
2. Is this game toast and do we need to restart. luckily we are only two complete 3 say turn cycles in.
3. Could someone be so kind as to list out in detail just what steps need to be taken to save, zip, load, unload, unzip, attach?

I have to believe that there are others out there who would love to PBEM but feel underwhelmed with the PBEM documenation.

Thanks

Hi

The IJN player MUST incude save 001 (combat replay) plus the slot you use for the game itself. The US player will unzip both files and BEFORE doing his turn click on file 001 to watch the replay. Remember that it is the responsibility of the IJN player to provide you with this otherwise you will be "blind".
