'Ger Livery Plus' Mod Pack (Merry Christmas!)

Post by spellir74 »

'Ger Livery Plus' Mod Pack

----------
First a suggestion...
Everyone should make multiple versions of PzC on their HDD. One titled as "[default]" the other "[default_______MOD-eroonie]". (The modded one ideally needs to have its own shortcuts made and directed to it; especially the Shortcut to "game menu" [RBG/scenario editor/etc].)

This way you can screw around, add to and test with one.

----------
Second, if you believe there are any value errors or gun or speed or whatever errors in these files or what I say below, please tell me.

_Visual Models_

Just like with my PzC marder project, after making the Aslt Gn [AG] XMLS (using the INFO sheet provided), I applied visual models using stock models in chimera-like imaginative ways ("squinting required"). Also I did the same for some otherwise unmodeled stock XMLs too; Eg JgdPzIV70. (I subtly changed some aspects of my previous Marder models too; specifically crew and armour values.)

As for vehicle commanders/crews, see note below at "*/*".

____________________
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
sIG33 I (bison) is Russ 122 arty gun + marder II(tred); two man Pak36 crew [MkI chassi unavailable; MKII/marderII makes do]
(sIG 33 II is stock [mkII] with new compendium image connoting "nord afrika" only; and one capped, german_tankcommander01)
Sturm IG is brummbaar early + MkIII(tred); one capped, german_tankcommander01
sIG 38M (grille) is Russ 122 arty gun + P38(tred); two man Pak36 crew
sIG 38H (grille) is Russ 122 arty gun + P38(tred); one capped, german_tankcommander01
Wespe is marder I + marder II(tred); one man marder crew.
hummel and hornisse/nashorn are SU76 + Brummbar(tred); hummel with two man marder crew II, horni/nash with one man marder crew (hummel compendium image replaces incorrect stock image)
jgdpz IV is SU122 + mkIV(tred); one capped, german_tankcommander01
jgdpz IV70 is SU122 + brummbaar mid(tred); one capped, german_tankcommander01
jgdpz IV70v is SU122 + brummbaar late(tred); one capped, german_tankcommander01
marder II is stock model; XML has correct gun applied
marder IID is SU76 + P38(tred); one man marder crew
marder III is stock with marder II + P38(tred); two man Pak36 crew
Marder IIIH is marder II + P38(tred); one man Marder crew
Marder IIIM is marder I + P38; one man marder crew
Pzjg-1(JMass) is PaK38 + marder II(tred); one man marder crew [MkI chassi unavailable; MKII/marderII makes do]
((__
You'll note, I applied body, tred and commander/crew models in such a way as to be correct (eg P38 chassi apllied to vehicles that were that way) but also distinctive (eg one or two man crews, capped or helmuted to visually differentiate between differnt units that both use same basic chassi and gun type (For example, note hummel and nashorn, sIG 38H and sIG 38M, Marder III and MarderIIIH); further, later war Ger vehicles have fewer guys. (It's more logimical.)
(This one is cool)
Pzwerfer (maultier) is off-map indirect--_new gun created_: stun _up to_ 5 (from stock 6) but not greater destruction power and unit XML has ROF to 7 (from stock Nebelwerfer 5). [Ideally Arty should not always be available in later turns: werfer were especially vulnerable to air strikes because of the launch smoke].
**********************
other files here in-
-some of my "___STOCK" and "___(spl)" offerings are corrections/changes to xml's image mapping...
.stock xml was not directed to otherwise available unused stock summer image
.stock xml 'offmap units' had confused/crossed arty images.
-Stock Nashorn entry date changed reflecting addition of Hornisse offered here. Ie hornisse and nashorn are same exact xml files--just date changes.
-Elefant is Ferdinand model with MG applied and date change in XML. (I left commander as "panther_TC" [ie black coat tanker] until I investigate; see below "*/*".)
<><><><><><><><><><><>
Nice image folders with images...
.including PzIVF1 image of correct stump 75mm but with _straight-across front_
_"*/*" comm and crew_
I believe--
-German Assault Vehicle troops wore grey.
-Ger Tankers wore "Panzer Black" (with red collar piping).
-Pz Jg Abt, and Arty Rgt wore wehrmacht uniform of their div.
(Any comments modifying that belief?)
!FIX To Do:
~STOCK StuGs and Brummbaars (and Ferd?) should have "german_tankcommander01" (greygreen, capped) replacing "Tankcommander_Comms" (black coat).
,,,
All other stock 'ger tank comm' models are black coat, capped uniforms (with and without binoculars [bino guy is cool])...
.'Tankcommander_Comms'
.'Panther_TC'
.'Tankcommander' =Bino
,,,
)()()()()()()(
'Marder crew II' has 2 helmuted grey guys--one on knee. 'Marder crew' has 1 grey-green helmuted guy. Ger ATG crews are two man helmuted grey-green summer and winter-coat guys. 88 flak has seated helmuted grey-green summer guy (he could be grey).
_ . _ . _ . _
Ger ATG crew note...
.Pak36 regular and late (and 150mm sK18 too?) = summer clothes only --ie winter models are same as summer, I believe.
.Pak38-41 = summer clothes And winter coats.
!FIX To Do:
~STOCK Pak36 winter 'wardrobe malfunction' (apply Pak38-41 winter crew)
___________
(((((((((((
Some could make commander and crew models sporting grey uniforms (Storm Gun had red collar-piping?)...
Two types:
1.Overwatch weapons --generally all Pzjg Abt (incl PzJg Horni/Nash) and rear-Arty vehicles (Hummel and Wespe)-- in binocular pose.
2.Assaulting weapons --SP IG and StuG (and ferd/elef?)-- in pose of assaulting troop: eg alert, ducking, arms forward on top deck or etc.
_DATA VALUES for SP ATG and SP IG_
(This is more important than the above)
For all the SP ATG and SP IG (and StuG, Ferds etc), we all need to talk about rarity, armour, speed and what "stddev" means.
Guns and dates and the general XMLs are done now [along with my compendiums and groovy models ;-)] but We could "abacus" some values until satisfied.
[What does 'stddev=x' after rarity catagory mean?]
:::::::::::::::
Marder IID -- from stock Marder II XML.
Marder IIIH -- from stock Marder III XML.
Marder IIIM -- from stock Marder III XML. 1 location sloped.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
sIG33 -- stock xml. Changed to "open top"; entry date to 3/40 (from 4/40).
sIG33 II -- stock xml. Changed to "open top" (would lower rarity beneath '1' if possible -- only 12 made in two companies: in AfrKop PzDiv).
SturmPz IG -- from stock brummbaar XML. Changed to "open top"; lessened armour values.
sIG38 -- from stock sIG33II XML (changed to "open top"). Changed many values to "Marder III STOCK" values.
sIG38M -- from stock sIG33II XML (changed to "open top"). Changed many values to "Marder III M" (which is 'Marder III stock' w/ 1 location sloped).
(I believe all the sIG38s are heavier and slower than all Marder38s, so I made them that way.)
________________
}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{
The stock jagdpzIV has a top deck of '1.5' while the stock Marder III has a '3' there. WTF?
--
Stock brummbaars have rarity of '1' for 315 vehicles built! Stock StuG have rarity of 3 for thousands built! Meanwhile stock Marder II has rarity of 7 for 651 built.
What this tell me is that the stock values are not written in stone (unfortunately).
(If we decide to change StuG and Brummbaar STOCK files, change 'ger_comm' to green-grey guy too [if we confirm that they are indeed assault grey].)
Rarity suggestions: (at the least)
sturmPzI 2 (36)
sturmPzII 1 (12 in Afrika)
sturmPzIII 1 (24 in Stalingrad)
sturmPz38 2 (91)
sturmPz38M 3 (282)
Brummbaar 3 (315)
StuG 7
(For reference, Panther G late = 40 rarity, while MkIVF2 = 4 rarity. What in the Fuh?...)
--
Stock sIG33 goes too fast. No? PII without toting gun goes 115. SP sIG33 I (sturmPzI) which is MkI, carring a gun (and its wheels!) goes same speed.
In the Mod Pack there is a provided INFO sheet (.txt), similar to the type I posted with my previous 'Marder Pack' (which is redone in this pack).
A Screen Shot of a few pages of that INFO sheet is posted here:
Thanks, Rob.
(Funky is the word I was looking for before.)
Rob do you know --or does anyone-- what "stddev" means in the XML at the end of the top lines, after medprev?
