Can't download the beta patch

Just joined the members club and registered some of my games and downloaded beta patches for a couple of them but I am getting the below error when trying to get the Starshatter:TSG 5.03 beta patch. All it shows is a video to download and no 5.03 patch.

It is there on the Members page for download.

(Click on the MEMBERS link in the top nav bar).

If you're logged into the Members Club and Registered your Game, then click on "Registered Downloads".

That is what I did do. I just did it again and all it shows to download for Starshatter:TGS is this;

I just confirmed, again, that it IS there. [&:]

The problem has to be on your end somehow.

Did you sign up for the Members Club?
Did you sign in to the Members Club?
Did you register the game as a Members Club member on the Members Club page?
Did you click on Registered Downloads on the Members page?

Find Starshatter on the subsequent page. If you registered the game properly, it will be there for download.

Yes, to all of your questions. I just tried it again in both FF and IE and all it shows to download is a promo video dated from Sept. 2006. Both browsers show this error too.

Well, liker I said before there are some people getting a similar issue with the Hired Guns beta patch and it has now been uploaded to FTP temporarily until the issue is resolved. Someone thinks the issue is with matrixgmaes registration database. No matter as I was in no rush to get this patch before so can wait a while longer. I have read it is a buggy patch anyway.

Are you at least seeing the beta file?

By the way, I see the exact same error message you indicated but am still able to download the beta file.

Have you tried using a File Transfer Program(FTP) to download the file?

No, no beta file shows, just that promo video. In the list for registered games it shows last update October 2008 but there is no file from that date when clicking on the link. I'll try FTP later because I don't have an ftp app installed right now, thanks.

Im having the same problem. All that shows is the promo video. Before you ask: I'm logged in, game is registered, and went to 'Registered Downloads'. The list shows Starshatter public beta 5.03 but no link. I click on the Starshatter name, it brings me to the game overview. Or I click on 'Downloads', it brings me to the promo vid and nothing else. There's nothing else to click...

Why not just post the link here? I had the same problem in Hired Guns and they posted the betas for us. In fact, I still can't download the old beta listed for that game. I already have the final patch but I just checked to see. There's definitely something wrong with the 'registered downloads' page for some of us...

Well, I hope the people who successfully downloaded the beta can provide lots of feedback since some of us can't download it due to matrix members club tech issues. Guess I just check back in a year and see how it went... [8|]

Nope, not for me. Just did exactly as you posted and it only shows the video to download. Obviously something went wrong at their end when I registered the game and the mod here is unwilling to help me get it. Guess I will just have to wait for the official version which at this rate I expect to have in maybe another year or so.

I too am having the same problem where all I see is the video .wmv file and not the link to the 5.03 patch. I have tried requesting help through the ask a question on the Help Desk and it also has an error when I pressed the submit issue button. This is frustrating. I would appreciate any help in getting the 5.03 beta downloaded.

1 month and 10 days has now passed since I requested help to get the beta patch and I still don't have it. Do I need to beg or what? [&o]

Here's why I think we can't see the beta patch and others can. We have a retail copy of Starshatter: TGS bought from a store and not bought directly online from Matrixgames. The reg process is not recognizing those codes as valid to participate in the beta patch.

That could be the problem.
 
Regardless, Matrix should address the situation even if the beta isn't officially supported. I'm sure this situation must be very frustrating for those that can not obtain the beta file.
