dosbox and dosshell

Post by matt.buttsworth »

Hi
I have downloaded dosbox and dosshell and got
the game going. But when I type in alt + enter to
go to full screen mode the colours go crazy and I cannot
clearly see the Soviet unit types.
Any ideas?
Help appreciated.

I do not know what has caused the problem as I have not suffered such a problem in my Vista system. If you havn't already done this, set the DOSshell .exe (application) file program compatibity (found in program properties) to WIN95. I think the problem may be a modern graphics system trying to cope with the antique VGA graphics that WIR uses. [:)]

The same colour problem in full screen mode, running DOSbox in DOSshell, has just hit me. I had just downloaded an update for my nVidia 7000 series graphics card and the same problem that you describe has occured. The solution for me was to adjust the DOSshell .exe (application file) to 'Run as Administrator' (right click on the .exe file in the Loonies - DOSshell folder to find and adjust these settings), it had already been set earlier to run as for WIN95. All is now back to normal. [:)]
