Another week of Barbarossa

Post by Preuss »

GFM von Techex's fascist minions continue their promenade across the Russian steppe, finally meeting heavy opposition from our brave Soviet ARmy.

Reports from the front:

Leningrad Front: Newly arrived air units gave the fascist air armies a bloody nose as ground units struggled heroically below. The 1st, 8th, and other highly trained figther divisions along wth a few ground attack units fought the German and Finnish air wings to a virtual standstill over the banks of the Neva, causing many a fascist flying machine to plummet into its icy waters. Aircraft losses in the area were roughly 500 Soviet machines to some 450 enemy aircraft.
On the ground, the troops have been slowly pushed closer to Peter's eternal city, the fens and swamps swallowing many fascist dead. North of Leningrad, repeated attacks by the Finns have resulted in terrible losses to the enemy at almost no cost to us. Marshall Zhukov is pleased with this weeks result as it will keep him out of the Lubyanka.

Kalinin Front: Troops are attempting to regain the initiative after surprisingly strong attacks made by the enemy.

Western Front: Strong German armoured forces have breached the first line just south of Vyazma, but will soon be pushed backwards by strong forces being marshalled about Moscow.

Moscow Front: The five Shock armies continue to grow in size and skill. They will be the spearhead that breaks the back of our determined foe.

Orel Front: Standing face to face with the hun, ready to impale the enemy on their bayonets.

Voronezh Front: Under heavy air attack, and holding ground.

Kharkov Front: Maneuvering east of that city, keeping the Hun off balance.

Southern Front: Holding Rostov in Force

North Caucases Front: Building defences north of Maikop

Air Front: See Leningrad. More units training for the counter offensive.

Production Front: 125 Yak-1 and 99 t-34 being produced weekly. Other types also being produced en masse

Technologic Front: Potential disaster averted with the scrapping of the 'incendiary bat' plan. The logic behind this plan was simple. Bats carrying small incendiary charges would be dropped from low-flying aircraft during daylight hours over enemy lines. The bats would then seek the darkness of German bunkers, command posts, and airfield tent-hangars. Unfortunately, the bats in question refused to tell the difference between Soviet and Fascist fortifications.... More plans are currently under discussion.
Jesus ...., with all respect. This closet germanism is allways killing me.
