No video on Screen

Purchased the game today and ran across this very problem. By changing the setting in the nvidia control panel to "antialiasing - application controlled" (as per dfritschie's post above) I was able to start the game up fine.

Just wanted to mention it in case someone else had the same problem.

Thanks, good to know for our troubleshooting FAQ. Andrew, any idea why this might be required? What driver version were you running, out of curiosity?

No problem - I'm running the 178.13 drivers (on a 8800gt video card).

I've got the same problem after install WaR, black screen and when i click at random on my screen, i hear the click command but nothing it happen after, and when i leave the game, i see breefly the screen board of WaR, thats all! Same problem with 1024x768 or 1280x960, frequence of refresh 85Hertz,

I've Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 3Ghz, P5k motherboard, XPHome2002 SPack 3, Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTwith drivers 180.48, direct X9.0c 4.09.0000.0904


Houurrra guys, i have just found the solution of the problem. Go in the configuration panel and to adjust the parameters of images with outline and and click the case "let the application 3D make the decision", and too in "Manage the 3D", i've parameters anti aliasing= 8Q, Filtering anisotropique=8x, Mode of performance of several displays with only graphic processor, mode anti aliasigne=controlled by the application, Filtering of texture=high quality,Synchronization verticale=utiliser the parameter of the 3D application,Weft prérendue maximum=2,Triple stake in memory tampon=activée, and all works with résolution 1280x960=85Hertz

Long life with Close combat, i play it since 1998 and i never grow tired of it, he allows me to destresser by bringing in some work (except my wife [:D])
