I finished my turn.....
I finished my turn. But, I wanted to update the list of players for the "World Whatever Cup" so that all those guys that have asked to be part of it would know that we know that they want to play.......ummmm....was that at all clear?
If I get around to it (and if Goblin hasn't already done this) I was thinking that if no one objects tooo loudly. I may just draw names on a random basis and pair names up. Just to see what kind of pairings we would end up with.
Just thinking about it, however it does seem to me that no matter what time period two players agree upon. If one of them is Germany and the other is say Mexico.....Belgium. :p Then there has to some sort of agreement between the two players to handicap somehow. Sort of how the Assaulter gets a 3:1 ratio in the game to compensate for the defender's ability to entrench.
Or perhaps we put all the minor nations in one hat and all the majors in another and then do the pairing?

with Spncer the list consist of 25 entries. Do you want to wait for one more entry to make it even or would like to start with one player automatically advancing to the second round?
Also what's the final set of rules we agree on?
4K pts.
20 turns
winner is determined by the number of points
game setup is up to the players

.....and Rekondo too? Yes, and Rekondo Too1
Ok, here we go.
red (SU)
Goblin (US)
Gary Tatro (US)
Fallschirmjager (Finland)
TimeTanker (Marines)
Brutto-Bob (Germany)
Mogami (Holland?)
BORO (SU)
Scharfschütze (Germany)
Viking2 (Canada)
Capt Pixel (Germany)
Belisarius (Finland)
M4Jess (Scenario Scion)
Orzel Bialy (World of Hurt)
Hades (Italy)
Easy8 (Mars)
gmenfan (US)
Tankhead (Hungary)
3/2 ACR (SU)
Ironfist (Germany)
radboy223 (French)
Mojo (Finland)
skryking (Rumanians)
Knife (GB)
Spenser (Lichtenstein, Malta, & Tibet)
Rekondo (US)
Ok with Spenser and Rekondo, we now have 26 players. I say go for the pairing. Perhaps, with a proviso that minor countries play minor countries and major vs. major. And, that if you move on to the second round as a major you must pick a minor country to continue.
Pairings to follow.
Vice Versa, if you advance to the second round from the minors. You get to change to a major.
Which of course will leave 2 players in the end. They can then decide if they want to play major or minor countries for the final showdown.
I agree with 4K pts and 20 turns.

Ooops...sorry red
Amazing that at least that did.
I will go with whatever you feel is correct. I have my pairings set minor vs minor. I take it that the random generator made no such distinctions?
Could you do it again but seperate out the two categories first?
