Generally, I am wondering about the kill numbers of these kind of attacks. Can about 80 fighters kill that more men than about a hundred heavy bombers??? What´s wrong here?
Maybe there is an explanation I am not aware of so far. [&:][&:][&:]

the numbers given as losses are not the number killed, but rendered combat inneffective for a time. I agree, the result seems way off. Were the fighters making a lo level attack.

It is one of several things I hope Matrix looks at in Carrier force.

Note the island has 35000 ija out of supply for 6 months. I will study the situation of fighter sweep and report back after this turn. It could be the same troops are combat ineffective each turn rather than a cumulative amount. Good question for Ralph but answer after the game as the answer is operational security.

could be a tough nut to crack, since I didn´t kept track on all the forlorn, poor troops at this tiny island. At least not en detail...

Based at luganville is 3 sqn of p40,1sqn coursair allset to sweep at 100ft at gavigamana.  Also 3 sqn of p39 at 100ft ground attack.  I suspect the long time out of supply +continued day to day bombing has a cumulative effect.

IIRC smaller the base size = the more troops are treated like lemmings, especially support troops
